Set off from Accra at 8 am. We shall stop briefly at the lake-side town of Atimpoku overlooking the Volta Lake. Seafood is fresh and relatively cheap here.
Should be at Wli town by noon. Check in at the motel, have lunch and rest for 30 minutes. We’ll shall do a 45-minute hike to the base of this most beautiful and totally enthralling waterfall. We’ll spent two to three hours bathing in the waters and having a scenic, serene picnic.
Overnight at the motel at the waterfall. These are hut like rooms – a different kind of motel architecture altogether.
We’ll visit the Tafi Atome village where colonies of Mona monkeys live peaceably side by side with the villagers. After lunch, we head back to Accra but not before exploring the major landmarks of Wli township. Drop-off at your base hotel.
