Itinerary

Early set off (6.30 am) for Cape Coast en route the Kakum National Park.

The Kakum National Park covering 360 square kilometers of evergreen rain-forest. The park is about 170 km west of Accra and just 30 km north of Cape Coast.

By 12 noon we would have finished the tree-top canopy walk and 45-minute hike through the rain-forest (The hike is optional). You can have lunch at any of the two restaurants at the park.

After lunch we shall proceed to the Cape Coast castle, stopping by to watch crocodiles. From there, we go to the important historical town of Elmina. We view the Elmina Castle and the town’s fishing harbor.

By 5 pm would be heading back to base. Should be in Accra by 8 pm. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel.

Itinerary

We’ll begin the tour at 9 am by visiting the National museum in Accra.

We’ll continue the tour by visiting downtown Accra, where we’ll explore Jamestown aka ‘British Accra’. This is where the city of Accra started from. You will see the old colonial days’ buildings, the lighthouse and Ussher Fort. We shall walk through the streets of the world-famous Makola Market. This is arguably the busiest market in all of Ghana. You won’t easily forget Makola.

The Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum is next. This is the memorial park where the contribution of this notable son of Africa is being constantly remembered.

Our next stop will be the Centre for National culture where arts and crafts of various are sold. Here you shall have a chance to hone your bargaining skills with some tips from your guide.

Last but not least, we’ll visit the La beach resort.
